If you haven’t already heard of Claire and drooled over her work from this post, take a break. Go to her site now, if only to peruse – but I encourage you wholeheartedly to support local artists. Claire is one of my favorites, and I wear the art she makes with her hands every. single. day.
We did most of the shoot with perfectly filtered light in a home while it rained outside. Claire brought a tapestry she acquired on her travels, and as you’ll see – I (easily) also convinced Lauren to get some shots outside in the rain, showing off some more of Claire’s intricate metalwork.
You women inspire me – thank you, thank you, thank you.
I met Banning and Alison years ago – before they knew I was a photographer – and was fortunate enough to shoot their gorgeous wedding not long after. Their easy, down-to-earth nature had me instantly wanting to be friends with them, and now as friends, it’s so wonderful to watch their family grow!
We met early Sunday morning, with their PRECIOUS little daughter Keegan (and dog Ruby in tow) at Bull Creek District Park. If you haven’t been here – GO. But don’t tell everyone. One of my favorite things about this park is that it’s relatively quiet. 😉
Yesterday I had the honor and pleasure of photographing Brad and Libby’s beautiful back yard wedding in Austin, Texas. Here’s the first little sneak peek! As you’ll see in one of the photos, a few of us (mainly Libby’s dad) were diligent weather radar checkers – thankfully the rain held off and we got a great breeze, gorgeous filtered light, and about a 10 degree temperature drop!
